CLASS: Machine Bag Making with Martine Van Loock - FINAL PAYMENT
Regular price $1,000.00
This five-day course is for those individuals who have at least an intermediate level of skill. We will all make the same project, a handbag with two straps and fold over flap closure, very similar to the bag pictured. This course will focus on making a handbag using a SEWING MACHINE with hand finishing techniques. We will use the studio Adler 669 sewing machine.
We will cover instruction on the use the machine to accomplish your construction assembly steps. We will discuss the bag gusset types that are best suited for bag assembly using the sewing machine. We will also teach bag reinforcements, construction, and edge finishing techniques. This course is being jointly taught by Martine Van Loock (https://www.instagram.com/martinevanloock/) who is visiting here from Anterp Belgium and Ellen Valentine, (https://instagram.com/leatherworkschool) owner of Leatherwork School.
There are only 5 students per course so everyone will receive plenty of individual attention. Note that there is one Adler machine in the studio. Everyone will share this machine. As most of the bag making is in the cutting, gluing and preparation, not on the machine stitching, one machine will be sufficient for everyone to share.
This initial deposit will reserve your place in the class. The final payment will be due by December 31, 2021, for a total class price of $2000.
FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL, ONLY VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS ARE PERMITTED TO ATTEND.
